Auberge La Dauphine Guest Farm
The perfect accommodation in Franschhoek for your stay in the winelands, we are a warm and friendly guesthouse surrounded by the majestic Franschhoek mountains. Stay in Franschhoek with us in 4 tranquil hectares of vineyard, orchard, garden and dam, only 50 minutes drive from Cape Town, and 2 minutes drive from Franschhoek village. Our sympathetically converted former wine store, Manor House and cottages make this Franschhoek accommodation an ideal base or stop-off for your holiday in South Africa.
Guests say our photos don’t do justice to the beauty of the place – to really appreciate it, you must come!
Our spacious guest rooms (the Pinotage or Shiraz), and suites (the Merlot, Beaujolais or Chardonnay) and our cottages (Acorn, Toffee and Appels), have bath and shower en-suite, air-conditioning/heating, DSTV, hairdryers, tea and coffee making facilities and wifi. Alternatively, spoil yourself in one of the two guest suites (Manor One & Manor Two) at the Manor House. All drinking and bath water is soft spring water direct from the Franschhoek Mountains. The little patio areas with garden tables and chairs in front of our rooms, suites and cottages allow guests to take full advantage of the wonderful weather. Huge breakfasts are served in the sunny breakfast room or in the courtyard by the fountain. Laze in the garden by the pool, have a game of tennis, enjoy a sundowner in the gazebo by the dam, say hello to our rescue donkeys and chickens in their paddocks, or take the dogs for a walk around the vines – the choice is yours.
We can organise wine tours and tastings (on horse-back if you wish), guided hiking trails with experienced guide (Spanish and German spoken), fishing and mountain biking or guided bicycle tours (including winetasting and picnics). Franschhoek village has an extensive range of shops, galleries, and cafes. Numerous award-winning restaurants in and around Franschhoek give it the title of leading gourmet region of South Africa.
At Auberge La Dauphine we will make your visit to this beautiful valley one you will want to repeat.
We look forward to welcoming you to Auberge La Dauphine
